Ask HN: Ways to train your mind to be faster at picking up concepts
Specifically I'm talking about say you're shown some new interface, CRM or something... it's all theoretical, has to be made. There's some concepts thrown in there, hierarchies and what not. I'm usually slow to pick up on it, as the guy to develop it. To get into the mindset of how it works and then know how it could be architected. If I was asked a question on something I just saw I'd probably have already forgotten... I unfortunately am a rote-learn guy. Someone will rattle off some process to me on the phone and yeah... these kind of scenarios. Way to train yourself... maybe puzzles idk. I do have really bad short term memory... I'll record a gif of something and in a couple seconds I've forgotten what it was about. 2 comments on Hacker News.
